At our middle schools students will have more opportunities to take the basic computer course which will allow them more time to learn to successfully use the keyboard and various programs. Hopefully by next year, all middle school students will have the opportunity to take a computer class for at least half the year. A high school credit may be offered to 8th graders who take the Business and Technology course (taught presently at the 9th grade campus) .
By the time these students are high school age, can you imagine how much better their typing skills will be? This is such an exciting time for our school system and for the kids we teach. There is no doubt that our system is quickly moving up the technology ladder to be sure our kids will be able to compete in the fast-paced world of technology!
Be on the lookout for information on EdCamp Lee coming up on February 16. See last week's post for a video and further information.
See you in the hallways and in classrooms!
